Endless Mountains Health Systems is pleased to announce the January 20th Groundbreaking for a Critical Access Hospital Replacement Facility on a new site in Montrose, PA. The new hospital, which was designed by Stratton Brook Associates, LLC of West Simsbury, CT, will be constructed in phases. Phase 1 is a three story, 71,600 square foot building, which includes Emergency Medicine, Imaging, Laboratory, Surgery, Inpatient Beds and related support services. According to Randy Cole, Principal Architect and Owner of Stratton Brook, the new facility will replace an outdated one and will allow EMHS to enhance and provide important healthcare services to an underserved area of Northeast Pennsylvania when the building is completed in the second quarter of 2013.

Construction Management services are being provided by Sordoni Construction Services of Forty Fort, PA, and major financing is being provided by the USDA Rural Development Program.
